Oh, sweet family!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your incredible loss. I have tried to post several times and just never have the words. I still don't, but I don't want to go without saying anything because Kristin's impact on my life is too huge to go without saying anything.
Her passing is felt even way out here across the waters and in our home, in my heart. She lifted me through some very scary moments as a mama and she took my hand and guided me into the Light that was so apparent in her every step. I am just so terribly sorry for your loss. Kristin continues to be so deeply admired and appreciated by so many, and I can only imagine that you as her extended family carry much of the same Spirit and love and joy that she so gracefully and boldly carried. I am so sorry. I am so thankful her pain and suffering are over and that she is rejoicing with Jesus. But I am still so sorry. Lifting you all in fervent prayer, with so much love. Thank you sincerely for sharing with us all.
Many of us have been touched by Kristin during her all too short life. Her blog touched hundreds, perhaps thousands of others as she allowed us to experience, from her point of view, her journey through cancer while practicing the faith she held so dear. Diane and I have set up a memorial fund, with Shawn's permission, to provide a place where those of us that want to give her family something can provide a small amount of comfort. Her children will never replace their Mom, but perhaps by raising money for their current and future educational needs we all can help Kristin continue to take care of those she left too soon.

Kristin lived life with passion and exuberance, championed 'right' and enjoyed beauty. She had a gift for living life large and in the moment. It was a joy to journey life with her, She has forever impacted our hearts and lives, I am blessed to call her friend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful photo!! It has been 8 years since I have seen Kristin. This photo reminds me of the times we used to meet at a coffee shop and chat about life- kids, husbands and scrapbooking. Since moving back to Ontario I have been able to connect with Kristin through her blog and read her inspiring stories and journeys through life. The last part of her journey was very sad for me but there is no doubt she inspired me by showing her love for her family, friends and most of all Jesus through her words. Happy Valentine's Day, Kristin!! A day to celebrate love!! A day to celebrate Kristin and all the love she showed and shared. I will miss you! Praying for your family and friends as they celebrate together today. Sherry
