Grateful for silver linings, one of which is how family and friends are gathering around us in prayer and with offers of support. Cancer is a lot of hard things. It is already proving to be a lot of connecting with loved ones and strengthening of relationships and that is so, so good.

PRAYER REQUESTS
- Peace for Shawn and I, for Kyle and Miranda and Braden and Connor, for our parents and siblings and nieces and nephews and inner circle friends watching and hurting as we go through this
- that God would keep soft our children's hearts toward Him through all the emotions of this hard journey
- strength and stamina; physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually
- that the cancer shrinks to gone, gone, gone!
- gentle side effects to this second round of chemo
- family unity, harmony, love, strength, joy, happiness
- anything else you feel God puts on your heart

Never alone
My request coming in to this hospital stay was that I never be alone. Yes, God is with me always. Yes, I know your thoughts and prayers are with me and holding me up. But my love language is "meaningful touch" and "time spent". What a very blessed and spoiled girl I am to have had loved ones around me at every turn. Day and night! My family is incredible, they have lavished love on me in such epic and subtle and huge and quiet ways. I am so blessed.

Hey! You're not wearing patient garb in that photo. (You look fab again, by the way!)
ReplyDeleteAlso, what a blessing to have family that's so willing to be there for you and with you. I'm sure it's made all the difference.
Thankful that mom and dad were able to be with you when you needed them the most. Grateful for the many laughs, tears, and hugs I have shared with you over the last 11 days. You are not alone, we are a team!
ReplyDeleteYep your family has been AWESOME!

ReplyDeleteI have been SO thankful to know they are there by your side; it is comforting for me, esp being so far away...when I just wanna be there for hugs, too :)
I wish I could have been there every day and every night, my heart was with you when I wasn't physically with you.
ReplyDeleteI second Keri's sentiments exactly, we are a team and I am willing to chat, laugh, cry, pray or whatever you need to help you through each step of the way!
