Blue

Feeling blue. Blah. Bored. Trapped. Unimpressed. I don't want to have cancer. Feeling trapped by so many rules: stay away from germs; make sure kids wash their hands; don't get too close; eat more veggies; drink no pop; avoid all sugar; can I still eat meat?; is it okay if I only walked 15 minutes and not thirty; what will post-op feel like?; do you really have to do leg raises and how does that work with stitches on my gut?; I'm going to miss my son's birthday; what about ......

Stop. Lord. Help. I am blue, totally reasonable that the last two weeks have hit me. But I need you. I turn to you. I am so grateful I can lay this all at your feet.

Cheesiest video ever, but I love the song. Sometimes God leads or answers our cry for help by putting a song in our heart.

Please continue to pray peace for me and for Shawn and for the kids: son 14yrs, daughter 10, son 7, son 5.

Thank you.

  1. You, O Lord, love Kristin with an everlasting love; You have drawn her with loving kindness. You will build her up again and she will be rebuilt. She will take up her tambourine and go out to dance with the joyful!

  3. While cancer DOES feed on sugar,I highly doubt that it would affect a 3.3 mm spot on your kidney. Not sure why you were told not to consume sugar or pop. It seems to me, just as an oustide observer who has cancer, that the doctors are giving you all the worst case scenarios. Usually with bone scans, they tell you the results the same day, before you leave the appointment, and with the mammogram, you usually hear back from them within 48 hours. So, I'm sensing great news on the horizon! :)

  4. Still praying! It is so overwhelming to follow all these "rules". Please feel free to break one or two of them as needed. Like tonight - I'm having a glass of wine even though technically is against the cancer rules! One step at a time Kristin. Jesus - be her strength tonight.

  6. It's probably the quiet moments where it all comes down on you.
I don't know what it feels like but I can imagine what it must feel like.
I'm specifically praying that God meets you where you are at because HE alone knows precisely what you need.

  7. Wow! Incredible song Margie!
Kristin, you have been so strong. But as your boat rocks and wavers on stormy days, let Jesus be your anchor. He is with you, beside you, in front of and behind you. He's all around you. He is greater than ALL obstacles. He will give you peace.
    I love you.

I know there are so many people covering us in prayers and I am so incredibly humbled and grateful and thankful. Sincerely. May you feel God's blessings upon you today, they are already there... I hope you really, really feel them!
